Radioactive Toy is a one person shop for web design and web application development.

About Me

My name is Ayush. I have over 6 years of professional software development experience. I've worked on projects for world renowned brands such as Dyson and Tag Heuer during my time with the digital agency AKQA. I was also on the iOS team at TransferWise for 2 years.

I specialise in Ruby on Rails with StimulusJS, Turbolinks, HTML and SCSS on the front end. The tech stack varies depending on the project though and I have built static HTML websites when they were right for the use case.

I frequently write about programming and product design on my blog.

I believe applications should focus on the user and respect the user's basic rights such as privacy. I obsess over user interfaces to make sure they're as clean and user friendly as possible. You'll see these values on display in my blogging platform.

I can help you develop a website with a cohesive user experience with a focus on simplicity; rather than one driven by pseudo-metrics like conversion rates. If this sounds appealing, get in touch!

Chapter24 is a simple, no-nonsense blogging platform.

I built it with the aim of allowing people with no technical knowledge to run a blog easily.

Tech stack: Ruby on Rails, Turbolinks, StimulusJS, MySQL and Sidekiq; hosted on DigitalOcean using Cloud66.

Acorn Lawn Tennis Club

A static HTML marketing website for my local tennis club.

Netlify CMS is used so the Events and Matches pages can be updated by the club committee within a web browser; while still mainiting a static HTML architecture.

Tech stack: HTML, JavaScript (vanilla) and CSS generated using Jekyll and Webpack; hosted on Netlify.

The website looks clear, modern and very informative. I am sure it will help substantially to introduce more members. Thanks for carrying out such a professional job, and being so helpful and patient throughout!
